Gmod Tower

Gmod Tower is an ambitious new project from a large team by MacDGuy. This team is setting out to create a new concept in Garry's Mod gamemode design. The Gmod Tower project is based around the idea of a large group of players in one tower playing various mini-games. These games include basic things like Deathmatch and more advanced things such as Ball Race, a Super Monkey Bal style game where people play as a ball trying to be the first to finish a course. The Tower has a different floor for each game type, game types include action, puzzle. survival, and casual, you go to the floor that contains the genre of your choice, when you find the gamemode you want to play, you get entered in a waiting queue, while in the queue you are free to roam about the tower, when the waiting time for your gamemode of choice is up, your stats in the Tower will be autosaved and you will instantly join the server for the game you chose.

The tower is not entirely about gamemode joining of course, it is also a place for friends to socialize and fool around. The Tower has individual suites, you have a saved furniture setup for your suite, when you "check in" that furniture setup is loaded in the suite of your choice and unloaded when you "check out." In your sweet you can have things such as radios which can tune to a variety of internet radio feeds, this uses the 3D2D system by AzuiSleet, another member of the GMT team. You can also have a television in your suite which allows you to buy upgrades right from your suite, and you can even watch Youtube on the television. The Tower also features a movie theatre which can play any movie on their extensive list.

There is a closed beta going on next week and we can expect it to go live sometime the week after. Hopefully, it will have been worth the six month wait.[...]

Ich freue mich sehr, dass es GMod-Tower immer noch gibt. Irgendwann hat doch auch Maurice dafür etwas gemacht.
