That's right folks, finally Garry's Mod players get to enter the Capital Wasteland like in the popular game Fallout 3. Although, still in development we all have a promising gamemode to look forward to.

Background:
After World War III, the remaining population went into hiding, many in underground bunkers or old military bases. When people finally realized they could come out of hiding, that it was - for the short term - safe to be outside, they found that the world had changed. Traditional plant and animal life was all but destroyed. In its place, however, were hideous mutants, the product of parasitic life forms and intense radiation. These zombies infest every once-safe building, every dark, muddy swamp, and every innocent looking trailer.
What is Fallout Mod?
A post-apocalyptic gamemode that centers around survival in the tough post-war environment. You must eat, drink, heal, scavenge, and ultimately kill to survive. An AI Director watches your every move, populating old buildings with useful items - and dangerous zombies. An ever-expanding arsenal includes everything from a Glock to the all-powerful Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher. A leveling system allows you to gain experience, level up, and spend skill points on various attributes of your character, including Running, Strength, Marksmanship and Weapon Maintenance. You can carry up to three weapons - your pistol and a primary weapon - both of which can degrade and consequently jam - along with a knife for close-range encounters. You have an inventory where you can store items and tools. You can even build using resources you find throughout the map.
