Gmod Lobby is a project by Liquidgame that is designed to combine access to all gamemodes into one place, a Lobby Server. Users will be able to vote on their favorite gamemodes in the gamemode lobby.
On the lobby server there is a map divided into categories, and in each category there are rooms representing a gamemode or some kind of Lua creation. These rooms contain information about said gamemodes/other Lua things and they also can access servers running them from those rooms. There'll also be rooms containing virus alerts and such. Consider this a Gmod Tower for gamemode discovery.
Authors can control their room from a web-based interface and edit the details contained within the rooms, or lock out their rooms from being accessed by people. There'll also be a news area containing news items from GNEWS (their news site) and Garrysmod.com.
There will also be a variety of games in which can help pass the time if players are waiting which consists of gambling, traditional fairground rides (big rides like rollercoasters are on separate servers), and many other traditional games which can earn players tickets which can be exchanged for various goodies within the lobby.
Work-in-progress shots of a lobby map
Their website (http://www.liquidgame.net/) is currently under construction, but it should be up once they get some kinks worked out.
