theJ89's ongoing project around creating a feature heavy inventory system, Itemforge, has been in the works since January of last year and was originally centered around a gamemode that was competing with Stranded, but since he spent more time working on the inventory than the actual gamemode, he stopped working on the gamemode and instead focused entirely on the inventory system.

Itemforge is not intended strictly to be for use in a roleplaying gamemode. It can be used in combination with things such as Spacebuild, components for cars ( à l' Engine Mod / Easy Engine ), or any imaginable system that involves combining or linking parts, or even just an inventory for an RPG gamemode.

Currently Itemforge hosts a large variety of features, including:


Heavily optimized to reduce performance impact
Items can be placed in the world
Items can be wielded like SWEPs
Items can be placed into inventories
Items can be stacked, along with Split and Merge options, as well as being able to control when splits and merges are allowed
Items have context menus
Items have health, and are thus damageable and repairable
Built in size and weight options
Optional wiremod support
Inheritance Support and Extending ( add onto an item without editing it )
Inventories inside of objects ( containers ) and items
Optional weight, size, and slot limits for containers
